Reference exchange rate up 9 VND at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,907 VND/USD on April 21, up 9 VND from the last work day of the previous week.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,907 VND/USD on April 21, up 9 VND from the last work day of the previous week.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,152 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,662 VND/USD.

At 8:25 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks increased remarkably.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,770 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,130 VND/USD, both up 70 VND from the April 18 morning session.

ﷺ BIDV also raised both rates by 60 VND, posting the buying rate at 25,760 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,120 VND/USD./.
