Reference exchange rate ups 20 VND on September 24

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,146 VND/USD on September 24, up 20 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,146 VND/USD on September 24, up 20 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,353 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,939 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates also went up.

At 8:43am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,470 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,810 VND/USD, both up 50 VND from September 23.

ꦬ BIDV raised its both rates by 30 VND, posting the buying rate at 24,470 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,810 VND/USD./.
