Remains of 50 more Vietnamese martyrs unearthed in Cambodia
The K72 team of the southern province of Binh Phuoc’s Military Command on January 6 completed the first phase of the 22nd period of searching for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who laid down their lives in Cambodia during the war.

✨ During the first phase in the 2022-2023 dry season,the team has gathered 50 sets of martyr remains in the Cambodian provinces ofKratie and Kampong Thom since November 7, with one identified,said Col. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, political commissar of the team.
Before repatriating the remains, authorities of Kratie and Kampong Thom provinces held ceremonies to pray for martyrs and completed procedures to hand their remains over to Vietnam. As scheduled, a memorial andreburial ceremony will be held at the Binh Phuoc provincial martyrs’ cemetery on January9. Over more than twodecades, the team has repatriated over 2,700 sets of remains of volunteer Vietnamese soldiers fallen in Cambodia./.
Team K72 under the southern province of Binh Phuoc’s Military Command, which is responsible for repatriating the remains of the Vietnamese soldiers who died in Cambodia, has unearthed remains of 11martyrs after a 20-day search starting November 7.
The Party Organisation and authorities in the central Lao province of Vientiane on December 28 hosted a ceremony in Thoulakhom district to commemorate heroes and martyrs of the Laos-Vietnam combat alliance who laid down their lives on the Keun battlefield in 1946.
A ceremony was held in the northern Lao province of Oudomxay on December 29 to repatriate ten sets of remains of Vietnamese soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in the neighbouring country.

A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
