The two-day forum,themed “A better world in diversification”, was an activity to mark 20years of the establishment of Vietnam-Republic of Korea (RoK)diplomatic ties. It aims to strengthen multi-faceted cooperation betweenthe RoK and Vietnam as well as other countries in the Associationof Southeast Asian N🦋ations (ASEAN).
During the event, officials, diplomats and scholars from theRoK 🀅and ASEAN member countries discussed issues of comꦏmon concern inEast Asia including sustainable growth and sustainable development,migration, regional security and cultural exchange.
In a session on the RoK-ASEAN development cooperation, Vietnamese andthe RoK scholars affirm🌄ed that green growth is a new direction ofdevelopment and a new channel of cooperation between Vietnam and theRoK. The scholars also put forward proposals to boost the RoK-ASEANstrategic partnership.-VNA

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
