RoK hospital provides medical checkups, equipment to Quang Ngai residents

A delegation from the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s ChungAng University Hospital on January 15 delivered free medical checkups, consultations, and medicines for nearly 1,000 residents of Nghia Ha, Tinh Long, and Tinh An communes of Quang Ngai city and patients at the General Hospital in the central province of Quang Ngai.

Quang Ngai (VNA) - A delegation from the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s ChungAng University Hospital on January 15 delivered free medical checkups, consultations, and medicines for nearly 1,000 residents of Nghia Ha, Tinh Long, and Tinh An communes of Quang Ngai city and patients at the General Hospital in the central province of Quang Ngai.

A team of 17 medical professionals from the Korean hospital offered services in internal medicine, family medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, and general care.

Alongside these activities, representatives from Doosan Enerbility Vietnam (Doosan Vina) and the hospital donated advanced medical equipment to Quang Ngai General Hospital. The donation included a dialysis machine, a six-channel electrocardiograph, and a patient monitor, with a combined value of nearly 545 million VND (22,000 USD).

Kim Hyo Tae, CEO of Doosan Vina, noted that the medical charity programme reflects not only the company's corporate social responsibility but also the strong ties between the RoK and Vietnam. Since 2009, Doosan Vina and ChungAng University Hospital have actively carried out charity programmes in Quang Ngai and plan to sustain these efforts in the future.

🎶 The programme will continue in Binh Son district on January 16-17, providing checkups for 600 residents of Binh My and Binh Khuong communes at the Binh My commune Health Station.

Doosan Vina, a high-tech industrial complex located in the Dung Quat Economic Zone, specialises in manufacturing critical infrastructure products, including power plant boilers, seawater desalination equipment, port cranes, and steel modules.

🍬 Since its establishment, the company has collaborated with ChungAng University Hospital to invest approximately 5.6 million USD in chairty programmes, including nearly 420,000 USD in medical equipment donations./.
