RoK non-government organisation helps increase rural livelihoods

Vinh Long (VNA) – KSSA, a non-government organisation (NGO) from the Republic of Korea (RoK), has given a financial support of 30.3 billion VND (1.35 million USD) to the socio-economic developm☂ent in southern Vin𒈔h Long province over the past two decades.

The information was heard at a ceremony held in the province on December 8 to mark KSSA’s 20 years of operation in Vietnam.
In addition to projects on economy, healthcare and education, KSSA has helped with encouraging other foreign organisations and RoK enterprises to assist the locality in house building, cultural exchange and social welfare, among others.
At the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan Anh Vu spoke highly of KSSA’s contributions to the local development, expressing his hope that the organisation will continue its programmes to enhance rural livelihoods as well as call for further investments from RoK businesses to the province. KSSA is one of the first RoK NGOs coming to Vietnam after the two countries established their diplomatic ties in 1992. It has operated in Vinh Long for the longest time.-VNA
