Russian educational cooperation expands

The Russian Centre of Science and Culture held a news conference in Hanoi on March 30 to introduce phase III of the ‘Russian Universities’ educational project.
The Russian Centre of Science and Culture held a news conference inHanoi on March 30 to introduce phase III of the ‘Russian Universities’educational project.

The project, run by theRussia Cooperation Agency in collaboration with the Vietnamese Ministryof Education and Training, focuses on establishing and developing directlinks between universities of the two countries and drawing Vietnameseyoung citizens to study in Russia.

Addressingthe news conference on behalf of the Russian delegation introducing theproject, Chairman of the Committee of International Affairs of RussianDuma Kosachev Konstantin Iosifovich underscored that the project wouldstrengthen science, culture and friendship between Russia and Vietnam.

Russia is set to provide 795 scholarships in 2015, up from 650 in 2014, and looks to bring the number to 1,000 in 2018.
