Hanoi (VNA) –🐻The Russian Film Week kicked off at the National Cinema Centre in Hanoi on December 9 night with the screening ofmovie Road to Berlin.
The film week is co-organised by the Vietnamese Ministryof Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Russian Embassy in Vietnam to markthe 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam andRussia (1950-2020) and the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. Road to Berlin is a drama and adventuredirected by Sergei Popov. The comprehensive direction and careful construction of thescript allows the film to examine the bonding of two characters, depictingtheir professionalism and often heroic acts, without resorting tosensationalism or sentimentality. In addition to Road to Berlin, moviesfeatured during the event from December 9-13 include White Tiger, TheStar; Come and See and They Fought for Their Country. Audience will have an opportunity to betterunderstand the Great Patriotic war and experience the Russian film industry. All five films selected for this year’s event havewon many domestic awards and have featured at a number of internationalfestivals. Vietnam and Russia should have cooperation agreement on film production in order to promote exchanges of experience among film producers from both countries, said Phedor Maksimovich Popov, director of Russia’s Stella film studio.

The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.
The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.

For the first time, Vietnamese audiences will have the opportunity to experience the ballet masterpiece "Don Quixote" in its original version by renowned choreographer Marius Petipa.

Coming to the Vietnamese booth, visitors had the chance to take part in a bamboo dance, a workshop on painting woven bamboo or rattan, or quizzes about Vietnam.
