The Committee has also asked theprovincial Board of Irrigation Project Management and Disaster Control(BIPMDC) to coordinate with the city's People's Committee in putting outwarning signs in places affected by erosion which could endangerpeople's lives and damage property.
Families living in dangerous areas affected by sea erosion and tides will be relocated to safe places soon.
The first 690 metres of a 1500-metre-long sea embankment has beenconstructed since last August in order to protect 180 households livingby the seashore.
However, the 12 billion VND (577,000USD) dyke itself has been eroded by waves and tides during the rainyseason, leaving people exposed to danger.
