Second Dalat Ultra Trail International Marathon kicks off

Around 2,300 domestic and foreign runners took part in the second Dalat Ultra Trail International Marathon which officially opened in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong on March 16.

LamDong (VNA) – Around 2,300 domestic and foreign runners took part inthe second Dalat Ultra Trail International Marathon which officially opened inthe Central Highland province of Lam Dong on March 16.

Therace includes four distances and eight categories designed for professional,semiprofessional and amateur athletes, representatives of charity funds andschools and tourists.

Theathletes had a chance to run through well-known destinations in Da Lat citysuch as Lam Vien Square, Vang Valley, Love Valley, Langbian Mountain and BidoupNational Park.

Theevent was co-organised by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism,Vietnam Cycling and Sport Motor Federation, Vietnam MTB Series Company and123Go Company.

Aspart of Asia Trail Master, Dalat Ultra Trail is the firstinternationally-recognised marathon in the Central Highland region.

Therace is expected to introduce Da Lat city’s landscapes to people both in andoutside the country and improve public awareness of environmentalprotection.-VNA

ꦰ Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee
