Seminar looks into culture-art development

The Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations (VULAA) held a scientific seminar in Hanoi on November 19 to discuss current issues on culture-art development, attracting the participation of cultural researchers and artists.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations (VULAA) held ascientific seminar in Hanoi on November 19 to discuss current issues onculture-art development, attracting the participation of cultural researchers andartists.

♉ Speaking at the event,VULAA Chairman and Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians’ Association Asso. Prof DoHong Quan said in response to the nationwide culture conference scheduled for November24, the event aims to review the glorious tradition and historical journeys sincethe Communist Party of Vietnam established the National Salvation CulturalAssociation in 1943, the Vietnam Art Association in July 1948 to the VULAAtoday, as well as achievements and shortcomings.

He affirmed that generationsof Vietnamese artists and intellectuals are always loyal to the Party’sguidelines and will do their best to keep improving their creativity todedicate to the cause of national construction and development.

Participants at theevent offered opinions about current issues regarding cultural-art developmentand artists amid the globalisation and global integration. A number of reportsat the event underscored culture-arts’ contributions to national development.

ꩲ They also highlighted advantages and disadvantages in cultural artistic activities amid the fourth industrial revolution, debated how to upholddemocracy and respect creativity and talent, as well as raise the sense ofresponsibility of artists to the public and country./.

꧃ Vietnamese culture takes centre stage in Korean city

The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.

ꦑ Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee
