Seoul (VNA) - An ASEAN week to celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishingdialogue between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea (RoK) kicked off in Seoul onJune 14.
The opening ceremony was attended by Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre Lee Hyuk, Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, andambassadors of ASEAN member nations and diplomats from other countries workingin the RoK.
In her message sent to the event, Kim Chung-sook, First Lady of RoK PresidentMoon Jae-in, highlighted the solidarity between people of the RoK and ASEAN nationsthrough increasing cooperation and exchange activities.
In his opening speech, Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre Lee Hyuk expressed his hope that the eventwill be a “tour of ASEAN” to help RoK people understand more about food, fashionand culture of ASEAN countries.
