Shanghai CPPCC committee asked to bolster ties with VN localities

Hanoi (VNA) – Vice President and Secretary Generalof the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Hau A Lenh met with adelegation of the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People’s PoliticalConsultative Conference (CPPCC) in Hanoi on April 23.

Vice President of the VFF Central Committee Lenhaffirmed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and theCommunist Party of China, the VFF and the CPPCC have had good relations andcooperation in many issues, helping to materialise the ideologies andguidelines built by late Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong and otherleaders of the two countries.

He highly valued the relations between the Shanghaimunicipal CPPCC Committee and some Vietnamese localities, especially thesigning of a cooperation agreement with the Ho Chi Minh City VFF Committee,expressing his hope that the two sides will implement the reached agreements ina fruitful manner.

The official also asked the Shanghai CPPCCCommittee to enhance cooperation with other Vietnamese localities, therebyhelping to increase experience sharing and mutual understanding and intensifythe two countries’ connections.

Zhou Hanmin, member of the CPPCC NationalCommittee’s standing committee, said his delegation’s working visit aims tobolster ties between the Shanghai CPPCC Committee and the HCM City VFFCommittee and expand cooperation with VFF committees of other provinces andcities in Vietnam, helping to promote the two countries’ comprehensivecooperation in all aspects.

He voiced his hope that the sound collaborationbetween Shanghai, as well as China, and Vietnamese localities will bestrengthened. He promised to exert every effort to help foster people-to-peopleexchange and cooperation in issues of shared concern between the twocountries.-VNA
