Deputy Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives ThanitAnekwit said SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2017 will enable the agro-industry to be morecompetitive regionally and Thai farmers to have better lives.
The organisation of this event is in accordance with the government’s 4.0economic policy and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives’ determinationto improve the standards of living of Thai farmers. Thani believes technologieswill help increase the value of Thai farm products, encourage the industrialsector to be more creative, and increase the competitiveness of theagricultural sector.
In 2015, Thai farm products and machinery were exported to 40 countriesglobally, accounting for 30 billion baht in value. The Deputy PermanentSecretary is confident the event will raise regional awareness about Thai farminginnovations.
