Singapore (VNA) - Singapore’s Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen is on a visit to the US from November 2-4.

He is scheduled to speak at this year's Aspen Security Forum in Washington,and meet his counterpart, US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin.

While in Washington, Dr Ng will also meet other current andformer top US defence officials. They include the immediate past secretary ofdefence Mark Esper, and his predecessor James Mattis, who is now a seniorcounsellor at business advisory firm The Cohen Group.

Dr Ng will also meet former under secretary of defence forpolicy Michele Flournoy, who is chair of the Centre for a New American Securitythink-tank, as well as with members of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

The Aspen Security Forum is an annual security and foreignpolicy conference now in its 11th year often attended by global leaders and topUS defence officials.

They will discuss a wide range of topics including cybersecurity, global vaccination, climate change, corruption, democracy, and howthey relate to national security./.
