Sixth meeting of Berlin ASEAN Committee opens in Germany
The Vietnamese Embassy in Germany held the sixth meeting of the Berlin ASEAN Committee (BAC) and a seminar on ASEAN’s position in regional and global architecture on October 5 in Berlin, Germany.

Berlin (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Germany held the sixthmeeting of the Berlin ASEAN Committee (BAC) and a seminar on ASEAN’sposition in regional and global architecture on October 5 in Berlin,Germany.
The event was held within the framework of Vietnam’sterm of Chairmanship of the Berlin ASEAN Committee.
At themeeting, Ambassador Vu Quang Minh and other ASEAN ambassadors reviewedoutstanding activities of BAC overthe past time, including those celebrating the group's 55th foundinganniversary (August 8, 1967-2023) such as a flag raising ceremony,festivals, cultural exchanges amongASEAN member states held by the Vietnamese Embassy, helping strengthenunderstanding and solidarity in the ASEAN Community.
Theydiscussed international and regional issues of shared concern as well asBAC's major activities in the remaining months of this year. Theyagreed to closely coordinate to futher promote joint activities ofthe committee, contributing to cementing relations between ASEAN andGermany inparticular and Europe in general as well as enhancing the bloc’spositionand role on the international arena.
🌠 Meanwhile at the seminar,participants talked about the current world situation, risks leading totensions andconflicts as well as measures to prevent those threats.They highlighted the role of ASEAN in regional and globalarchitecture, saying that ASEAN is a crucial factor in guaranteeingpeace, stability in the Asia -Pacific region as well as the world./.
