Hanoi (VNA)⛦ - The April 30 victory is not only a symbol of unity and indomitable will, but also a testament to the intelligence and resilience of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and President Ho Chi Minh.
Reporte Asia, a Spanish-language digital news outlet specialising in political, economic, and cultural issues across Asia, particularly Southeast Asia, has recently published an article lauding the profound significance of Vietnam’s victory on April 30, 1975, a brilliant milestone in the nation's struggle for liberation.
In its feature article titled "The Great Victory of April 30: The Glorious Pinnacle of Vietnam’s National Liberation Cause," Reporte Asia asserts that the Great 1975 Spring Victory stands as one of the most resplendent milestones in the history of Vietnam’s nation-building and defense.
The article revisits key stages of the resistance against the US, from countering the "Special War" strategy (1961–1965) to achieving the decisive triumph in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign. Reporte Asia highlights that despite the US mobilising vast expeditionary forces equipped with the most advanced weaponry, they were ultimately defeated by the unyielding will of the Vietnamese people, a small nation with extraordinary strength.
The article further analyses the factors behind this historic victory, including the CPV’s brilliant leadership, the patriotic spirit and revolutionary heroism of the people, the great national unity, the strategic combination of national and contemporary strengths, and the international solidarity with brotherly nations such as Laos and Cambodia.
“The Great 1975 Spring Victory was a monumental event of international stature and profound historical significance, inspiring friendly nations and progressive peoples across the globe," the article states.
"It affirmed the wise, skillful, correct, and creative leadership of the CPV; stood as a powerful testament to the invincible strength of the great national unity bloc and the collective ‘will and wisdom of the people,’ where the ‘Party’s will’ and the ‘people’s heart’ fused, once again radiating the spirit of revolutionary heroism, courage, and intellect of the Vietnamese people during the Ho Chi Minh era.”
Although half a century has passed, Reporte Asia said, the historical value, epochal significance, and the heroic atmosphere of the victory remain deeply etched in the memory of the entire Party, people, and armed forces of Vietnam, as well as among revolutionary, progressive, and peace-loving forces around the world.
