Hanoi (VNA)🌃 - A Startup Forum held online discussed youth entrepreneurship and connected Vietnam with 14 countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, India, the Republic of Korea, China, Japan, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, and Finland.

The National Committee on Youth of Vietnam coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to organise the forum under the theme "Policies to Promote Innovative Startups for Young People". The online forum connected 14 countries with 63 centrally-run cities and provinces nationwide. In a speech at the opening of the forum, Deputy Foreign Minister Do Hung Viet said that with high rates of economic growth and a favorable investment environment, Vietnam is becoming a development centre for startups in Asia Pacific. Innovative startups are becoming an important driving force in the country's development process. Startup is a "keyword" associated with the image of young people who are dynamic, creative, full of ideas, and enthusiastic, said Viet. In the digital technology era, trained Vietnamese youth are a great resource contributing to the country's innovation. They are the fastest to grasp new technologies and new trends in the world and have the ability to promote new solutions through startups, development, and exploitation of technology. First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam Bui Quang Huy expressed his wish that stakeholders at home and abroad in charge of youth work promote skills advancement in new business startups. At the forum, participants proposed coordination mechanisms in building and implementing policies to promote innovative startups for young people in Vietnam. Following the success of last year's forum, this year’s version on innovative startup policies for youth is a meaningful event to enhance international exchange of innovative startup policies for youth in Vietnam and other countries.

The first event saw the participation of representatives from the committees of the Party Central Committee, the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, and those from other ASEAN member nations, Japan, the Republic of Korea and China. 

🐲 It aimed to increase exchange and experience sharing in building and implementing policies and laws on youth development between agencies and youth organisations of Vietnam and other countries in the fields of learning, scientific research, labour, employment, startups, health care, culture, sports, and digital transformation. 

The National Committee on Youth of Vietnam will consult on the event and inform the Prime Minister on the youth work of perfecting the innovative startup policy system for Vietnamese youth./.
