Hanoi (VNA) – A dynamic symposium has brought together nearly 300 journalists, content creators, innovators, and students to explore how technology, when driven by human values, could inspire creativity, tell touching stories, and promote happiness in daily life.

Jointly held by the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel), the event was part of the second award for photo and video clip works “Technology with heart”, and also a concrete initiative to carry out the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57 on breakthroughs in science – technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Director of the VNA’s di𓆉gital content and media centre Le Xuan Thanh, who is also Standing Vice Chairman of the contest, stressed that technology has become inseparable from daily life in a world full of constant changes, stating beyond machines or complex algorithms, it is a powerful tool that brings positive values, connects people, and nurtures happiness.

This symposium, he said, was designed to deepen public engagement with the “Technology with heart” contest, while encouraging new perspectives and compelling storytelling about the intersection between humans and technology.

At the event, the organising board provided details about the award, including rules, theme, judging criteria, competition categories, and submission deadlines. Themed “Vietnamese Creativity – Path to Prosperity”, this year's contest encourages participants to capture meaningful and emotional moments in daily life where technology contributes to transforming and enriching the community.

In his keynote address, Ly Hoang Long, an outstanding artist who has won awards from the International Federation of Photographic Art and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, shared insights about the language of light in everyday photography and the mindset required in the digital era. Long detailed his award-winning projects and the transformative role of digital editing, AI, and other technological tools.

Meanwhile, Public Policy Manager at TikTok Vietnam Dang Kim Long said with a mission to inspire creativity, TikTok has built a dedicated hashtag page on its platform to accompany the award. Within a short period, this hashtag page has attracted 2 million views, with the figure expected to double or triple in the coming period.

He also called on TikTok Shop merchants and young content creators to engage in the contest, highlighting the social platform’s power to amplify human stories and social values. Other tech experts and digital creators shared their practical storytelling techniques, including decoding the human element in tech narratives, mastering visual language through camera angles, lighting, sound, and editing, and optimising content for platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

Launched in February 2025, the second “Technology with Heart” contest marks a successful partnership between the VNA and Viettel, transforming a creative competition into a broader cultural movement.

More than an art showcase, the contest seeks to inspire innovation and spotlight the humanistic values that technology can bring into daily life, expected to contribute to a sustainable digital future.

The award provides an opportunity for humanistic, touching, and inspiring stories to reach the public. These might include images of doctors applying AI technology to save lives, farmers using QR code-based traceability to enhance agricultural product value, or young people overcoming difficulties to learn programming and create community-serving applications. Each story helps make a journey that spreads the humanistic values of the nation in the new era.
