Vietnam Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Week opens in Da Nang

Da Nang (VNA) - The Vietnam Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence W🍰eek 2025 – Super Vietnam 2025 opened in Da Nang city൩ on June 4.
The event, jointly held by the Danang Centre for Research and Training in Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence (DASC), Orochi Network, and FPT Online, aims to connect and attract domestic and international resources to foster the development of the blockchain and AI ecosystem in Vietnam, and take advantage the sandbox mechanism and support policies of the Government, contributing to the systematic development of blockchain and AI. It is expected to drive digital transformation in all fields, thus enhancing Vietnam's position on the world technology map.

According to Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, this international-level event reflects Da Nang’s bold ambition to become a leading innovation hub in the region. The initiative aligns with the city’s robust strategies in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, as outlined in the Politburo’s Resolution 57-NQ/TW. Da Nang envisions itself as a regional leader in digital technology and smart finance.
Minh emphasised that Da Nang is focusing on developing digital finance services, fintech, and blockchain as key pillars for driving its digital and economic transformation. The application of digital solutions in financial management, supply chain operations, and electronic transactions helps optimise costs, enhance transparency, and improve efficiency. Emerging fintech models, such as e-payments, digital wallets, and blockchain-based lending, are transforming Da Nang into an attractive destination for financial technology enterprises.
Beyond technological advancement, the city is also investing in digital infrastructure, including digital financial sandboxes and free trade zones. These serve as open testbeds that encourage innovation and experimentation. Da Nang is taking strategic steps toward establishing an international financial centre, laying the groundwork for cross-border transactions and global market integration, which align the country's digital economic development and international integration orientations.
Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, reiterated the city’s commitment to supporting developers, businesses, and investors. The Vietnam Blockchain and AI Week marks a turning point, from potential to realisation, from inspiration to action, and from collaboration to synergy.
He stressed that the ideas, projects, and connections initiated at the forum will not end when the event closes. Instead, they will continue to thrive and expand in Da Nang, a growing destination for cutting-edge technology, open thinking, and the aspiration to build a smart, sustainable, and humane city.
As part of the event, the Super Vietnam Expo features nearly 30 booths showcasing innovative projects and technologies from leading Vietnamese and international enterprises in blockchain, AI, data, and fintech.
The week also includes parallel events such as deal-making sessions, job fairs, tech tours, and talent incubation programme signings./.
Following participation in the summit and thematic panel sessions, the Vietnamese delegation joined a ministerial roundtable on digital trust, where Deputy Minister Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc delivered an address outlining Vietnam’s efforts in implementing its national strategy on AI research, development and application until 2030.
Speaking on AI collaboration between ASEAN and the GCC, PM Pham Minh Chinh said AI is now present in all aspects of life, improving human interaction and enhancing productivity across sectors. Therefore, AI development and application are not only strategic choices but also urgent, top priorities for every country.
A key highlight will be the technology cluster pavilion, showcasing top enterprises selected for their innovation, market potential, and practical applications. These firms will display flagship products and solutions, supported by government policies to strengthen the tech sector.
Since 2022, more than 500 Vietnamese startups have engaged in Google’s Startup Academy, Google for Startups Accelerator, and Google Startup Masterclass. Nearly 100 of these firms received support to develop and improve their products, benefiting more than 300,000 customers and creating over 300 new jobs through successful fundraising and team expansion amidst Vietnam’s competitive economy.
Over the past three decades, Binh Duong has cemented its status as one of Vietnam’s most dynamic industrial hubs, building a robust foundation in manufacturing, exports, and investment. The province now has 30 operational industrial parks spanning over 13,000 hectares, with an occupancy rate exceeding 90%.
The diplomat emphasised that Vietnam places the highest priority on the development of science, technology, and innovation, viewing them as critical drivers for the country’s advancement in the new development era.
The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
More than an art showcase, the second “Technology with heart” contest seeks to inspire innovation and spotlight the humanistic values that technology can bring into daily life, expected to contribute to a sustainable digital future.
The average speed of the national mobile broadband network remained stable, with download speeds reaching 76.86 Mbps and upload speeds reaching 26.98 Mbps.
Under the MoU, AMD will support several key initiatives spearheaded by HCM City’s authorities, including piloting policies, co-hosting innovation events, and evaluating the investment environment within the Saigon Hi-Tech Park.
The centre is a joint initiative between Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology, with PTIT and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) serving as co-leads, and global telecommunications giant Nokia as founding industry partner.

Vietnam views sci-tech as a decisive factor in national development and a key tool for achieving sustainable development goals, and is ready to boost sci-tech cooperation with Venezuela for mutual prosperity.
The Government will always accompany companies, including CMC, and request ministries, agencies, and Hanoi authorities to further support them by promptly removing any obstacles to their growth, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
