Tay Ninh: Tan Nam upgraded to international border gate
The Prime Minister has approved a proposal to upgrade Tan Nam auxiliary border gate in the southwestern province of Tay Ninh into an international one, a local official has said.

Tay Ninh (VNA) – The Prime Minister has approved a proposal to upgradeTan Nam auxiliary border gate in the southwestern province of Tay Ninh into aninternational one, a local official has said.
The Tan Nam border gate in Tan Binhcommune, Tan Bien district, is opposite to Mien Chay border gate in Cambodia’sPray Veng province. The border gates are some 150 kilometres from Ho Chi MinhCity and 120 kilometres from Phnom Penh.
The international border gate pair is of significance, facilitating trade andeconomic activities of local people while shortening time travelling from theVietnamese southern hub to Phnom Penh as compared to travelling through Moc Baiinternational border gate.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Luu Quang said at thecommittee’s meeting on October 2 that the province will recommend theGovernment to build Tan Nam into an eco-tourism border gate as it is located inLo Go-Xa Mat national park.
It is necessary to develop traffic roads and technical infrastructure to meetoperation demand of an international border gate, he added.
Tay Ninh province will house three international border gates, including MocBai, Xa Mat and Tan Nam and four major border gates - Ka Tum, Chang Riec, PhuocTan and Tong Le Chan and 11 auxiliary border gates along the border withCambodia.-VNA
The Chang Riec auxiliary border gate in Tan Bien district of southern Tay Ninh province, which borders Cambodia, was upgraded to a main border gate on March 24.
The southern province of Tay Ninh will spend more than 1.1 trillion VND (48.4 million USD) on constructing a border belt road to develop the border trade with Cambodia and ensure defence.
The southwestern province of Tay Ninh on September 12 started the building of five bridges in remote and border districts of Tan Chau, Chau Thanh and Hoa Thanh to support local people.

In recent decades, Vietnam’s mainstream media has become a reliable and persuasive channel for showcasing the nation’s development policies and achievements, especially in economic matters, according to a senior assistant editor at the Times of India.
A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
