Thac Ba lake tourism site development plan gets PM’s nod

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc recently approved a development plan for Thac Ba Reservoir tourism site in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai.

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phucrecently approved a development plan for Thac Ba Reservoir tourism site in thenorther🦹n mountaino𒐪us province of Yen Bai.

The main part of the plan will be carried out on an areaspanning 1,200 ha.

The plan is expected to create a key tourism product for thetourism site, in line with related strategies and plans, as well as othereconomic sectors.
It also aims to protect the environment, water quality andcontribute to ensuri✃ng security-defence, climate change res🍬ponse and disasterprevention in the province.

The plan is expected to connect the reservoir with other major attractionsof Yen Bai province and Hanoi, while creating close links with other tourismsites in the mountainous and hilly areas. Local authorities will strive to make Thac Ba reservoir berecognised as a national tourism site in 2025 and become an eco-tourism andentertainment centre of Yen Bai and the northern mountainous region in 2030.

By 2030, the site is hoped to welcome about 1million visitors, of which 140,000 will be foreigners, raking in about 900billion VND (38.7 million USD). -VNA
