Thailand’s cyclist Supuksorn Nuntana finished in first place in thefirst stage of the fifth Binh Duong international women’s cyclingtournament, which kicked off on February 28.
Atotal of 63 riders from 13 local and international teams started the52-kilometre stage that ran through streets in the new Binh Duong cityin the southern province of Binh Duong.
Nuntana crossed the finishing line in 1:21:24 ahead of Phan Thi Lieu of An Giang’s Gao Hat Ngoc Troi team.
The third place went to Malaysian Grace Phang, who races for Binh Duong’s Biwase Con Voi Fertiliser.
The second stage covering 90km running from Dinh Quan district insouthern Dong Nai province to Bao Loc city in Central Highlands Lam Dongprovince will start on March 1.
The annual cyclingcompetition will cover a length of 741km running through sevenprovinces: Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, BinhThuan, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
