Thailand's consumer confidence rose for a 10th straight month in March, reaching a three-year high, boosted by a recovery in the crucial tourism sector and spending for the upcoming election.

Bangkok (VNA)𒉰 - Thailand's consumerconfidence rose for a 10th straight month in March, reaching a three-year high,boosted by a recovery in the crucial tourism sector and spending for theupcoming election.

A survey of the University of the Thai Chamber ofCommerce (UTCC) released on April 11 showed that the consumer index roseto 53.8 in March from 52.6 in February.

The UTCC cited that the index rose to 52.6 inFebruary from 51.7 in January thanks to a recovery in tourism, government stimulusmeasures and a weak bath.

🗹 Meanwhile, Bank of Thailand (BoT) governor SethaputSuthiwartnarueput on April 10 said the Thai economy is expected to grow 3.6%this year./.
