The first Investment and Trade Exhibition of the Special Economic Zones of Thailand called “Mae Sot SEZ Expo 2015” will be held at the OTOP Product Demonstration Building and Conference Center for Tourism Promotion in Mae Sot district of Tak province on September 25-27.
The Thailand Conventions and Exhibitions Bureau Public Organization (TCEB), and Tak's Governmental Units and Biz Club SEZ TAK are organizing the event.
Nopparat Maythaveekulchai, President of TCEB, said organising the Mae Sot SEZ Expo 2015 has the objectives of accelerating multi-lateral investments and strengthening the working relationship between the governmental and private sectors of Thailand together with Myanmar. The event also aims to offer more opportunities for investors to exchange their local and international technologies in production, marketing, administration and management.
With high potential to develop into a center for trade on the western border, Mae Sot in Tak province has been promoted by the government to become "a perfect role model” for other upcoming Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Thailand.-VNA
