Bangkok (VNA/NNT)♓ - The ChonburiProvincial Administrative Organization and the Pattaya local administrativeorganization have expressed their readiness to host the ASEAN InternationalFleet Review 2017 scheduled for November this year.

Both offices have recently welcomed members of the publicrelations subcommittee of the ASEAN International Fleet Review and informedthem of the tourism plan during the period. According to the Pattaya Tourism Office, several activitieswill be organized to promote Thai culture and stimulate the local economy, suchas a Loy Krathong event, a seafood festival, and an international jet skicompetition. The office promised to maintain the city's cleanliness and providethe necessary facilities while underlining safety measures for the entire monthof November. At the meeting, the Thai Hotels Association Eastern Chapterpresented plans to offer accommodations at special prices for members of thepress. The ASEAN International Fleet Review 2017 is part ofcelebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of Association of Southeast AsianNations and demonstrate the harmony of the bloc's naval forces. The Royal ThaiNavy has combined the 11th ASEAN Navy Chief’s Meeting, the First ASEANMultilateral Naval Exercise and the International Fleet Review into a singleevent. This event will take place from November 13 – 22 inPattaya, as well as nearby famous tourist destinations located in the northernpart of the Gulf of Thailand.-VNA/NNT
