Thailand’s second Angel Fund for Startup programme launched
The Thai Ministry of Industry has partnered with Delta Electronics Thailand in organising the second "Angel Fund for Startup" programme, which will provide training and funding to 30 select trainees.

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Thai Ministry of Industryhas partnered with Delta Electronics Thailand in organising the second"Angel Fund for Startup" programme, which will provide training andfunding to 30 select trainees.
The training programme educates trainees on starting a business, creating abusiness plan, and business administration. Those who successfully complete theprogram will receive up to 500,000 baht (14,480 USD) in startupcapital.
Permanent Secretary for Industry Somchai Harnhirun said the programme willencourage new forms of value-added businesses and enhance the country'scompetitiveness using the latest innovations and technologies.
The three most popular business categories for startups include lifestylesolutions, such as recruitment and restaurant and hotel bookings; financialsolutions, such as online merchants and e-commerce platforms; and businesssolutions, such as online procurement platforms.
Somchai expects his ministry to provide up to 8.5 billion baht in fundingfor tech startups over the next two years.-VNA
