Thanh Hoa (VNA) – The northcentral province of Thanh Hoa will provide more than 1,600 tonnes of rice for some21,000 students from disadvantaged ethnic minority areas.
Each student will get 15kg of rice per month.The rice is taken from the national reserves of the General Department of StateReserves under the Ministry of Finance.
The People’s Committees of districts andcommunes are responsible for coordinating with the Department of State Reservesin the locality to deliver the rice.
The provincial Department of Education andTraining along with the provincial Department of Finance, Committee for EthnicAffairs, and the Department of State Reserves in the locality will examine theimplementation of rice support for students.
