Thanh Hoa (VNA) – The Thanh Hoa InternationalTourism Festival opened on September 14, drawing a large number of travel andaviation firms as well as representatives from diplomatic and tourism promotionagencies from many countries.
The event, the first of its kind held in the north central province of ThanhHoa, introduced many new tourism trends and products, along with attractivetours and services at good prices.
The fair, which ran through September 15, also includedvarious activities, including a food festival, folk art performances, ThanhHoa’s traditional craft product exhibition, and an exchange between domesticand foreign travel firms.
Alongside, visitors had a chance to explore the culture andtourism of various countries such as the Republic of Korea, Thailand,Singapore, Malaysia and Japan, as well as join a lucky draw with total awardvaluing 10 billion VND.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of thePeople’s Committee of Thanh Hoa Le Thi Thin lauded the activeness of theFlamigo Group and Hanoi Redtours in coordinating with the provincial Departmentof Culture, Sports and Tourism to hold the event.
She expressed her hope that the event will help Thanh Hoa’stourism sector to fulfil the target of welcoming 11.2 million visitors in 2020with revenue reaching 20.5 trillion VND.
Within the opening of the event, a memorandum ofunderstanding was signed among the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports andTourism, the Korean Tourism Organisation and the Hanoi Redtours, and othersbetween the department and Flamingo Group, and between the Thanh Hoa TourismAssociation and Hanoi Redtours.
