Thousands of Nam Dinh children to get free heart checks

Children under 16 years of age in the northern province of Nam Dinh will get free heart checks on April 6-7 within the framework of an annual programme jointly implemented by the Nam Dinh Children’s Hospital, the Central Children’s Hospital, and the military communications group Viettel.

Nam Dinh (VNA) – Children under 16 years of age in thenorthern province of Nam Dinh will get free heart checks on April 6-7 withinthe framework of an annual programme jointly implemented by the Nam Dinh Children’sHospital, the Central Children’s Hospital, and the military communicationsgroup Viettel.

Organisers further said all the children suspected of havingcongenital heart diseases will be checked and consulted by specialists. Those poorfound having the diseases will get totally free medical treatment andoperation.

Doctors said from one to two children among about 100 beingchecked will be detected to have heart diseases. The checks have helpedthousands of children to have early treatment.

Over the past 10 years, the programme has helped about100,000 children in 50 provinces and cities throughout the country to have freeheart checks, and financed the medical operations for up to 4,500 of them.-VNA

Vietnam, Franc🥂e collaborate in vaccine production technology transfer

Under the agreement, VNVC and Sanofi will gradually implement technology transfers to enable domestic production of several key Sanofi vaccines that are widely used in Vietnam. In addition, Sanofi will support VNVC in training human resources and quality management in vaccine research and manufacturing.
