Toshiba Group Holds 21st Environmental Exhibition

The Exhibition will showcase Toshiba Group's latest environmentally conscious products and environmental initiatives.
Toshiba Corporation today announced that it will hold its21st Environmental Exhibition for the general public at Toshiba's Tokyoheadquarters on February 9 and 10. The Exhibition will showcase ToshibaGroup's latest environmentally conscious products and environmentalinitiatives. In seeking to realize harmony with the Earth and richer lifestyles,Toshiba Group aims to become one of the world's foremost eco-companies—acompany that incorporates environmental awareness into all aspects ofbusiness management; that exceeds other companies in environmentalefficiency throughout product life cycles; and that supports individualsand society in achieving new, sustainable lifestyles.
Toshiba will also use the exhibition to unveil the grand design thatunifies its strategies for becoming one of the world's foremosteco-companies, including the index of achievement that it will use torecord progress made. The exhibition is organized into four sections, each reflecting anaspect of the measures that Toshiba is promoting toward realization of"Toshiba Group Environmental Vision 2050": Greening of Process, whichcovers environmentally conscious manufacturing; Greening of Products,which focuses on environmentally conscious products; Greening byTechnology, which covers energy and environmental technology; and GreenManagement, the foundations of Toshiba's approach to environmentalmanagement. Toshiba aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable societythrough ever-closer integration of business management and environmentalmanagement, as the company accelerates the pace of expansion of itsbusiness to become a global leader.

According to Dr. Vu Anh Tuan, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam Space Centre and head of the project, this is the first study in Vietnam to simultaneously employ Sentinel-2 satellite data, advanced machine learning algorithms, and the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud computing platform to model and monitor key seawater quality parameters.
