Tour operators offer numerous options for Tet

Tours designed for foreigners wishing to look into Tetculture and celebrations will start from the 23rd of the 12th lunarmonth to the 4th of the first lunar month, or from January 23 toFebruary 3.

Vietravel has put on pre-Tet tour programmesincluding those taking in Hanoi and the central region where foreignvisitors can find out the culture of welcoming Tet there.

Tourists can opt for one of the tour programmes that are on offer atVietravel. The four-day Da Nang-Hue-Phong Nha-Ba Na-Hoi An tour bringsvisitors to the former imperial capital of Hue to visit jam and flowervillages and the ancient town of Hoi An to see local people preparingfor Tet festival. The other four-day tour takes in tourist destinationsHanoi, Yen Tu, Sapa, and Bai Dinh.

At Lua Viet Travel Company,the “Southern journey” tour going through Ho Chi Minh City, Soc Trangand Ca Mau is also one of the programmes associated with otheractivities allowing visitors to discover the southern region throughflower villages and Tet specialty production facilities.

Saigontourist Travel Service Company has tours “Enjoy southern spring,take Tet home” including visiting Tet flower villages and fairs insouthern provinces, staying at a local home to explore how people maketraditional glutinous rice cakes and purchasing specialties as Tetgifts.

For foreign travelers, “Foreigners enjoy Tet 2014” toursoffered by Saigontourist allow visitors to tour Ho Chi Minh City beforevisiting the Mekong Delta.

Ben Thanh Tourist has rolled out aspecial Tet programme for foreign tourists in Ho Chi Minh City, withtraditional Tet markets, Nguyen Hue Flower Street and flower fairs amongthe places of interest. The firm will arrange traditional Tet welcomingprogrammes such as joining a party, offering a Tet wish and givinglucky money on the first day of the Lunar New Year.-VNA
