Two killed by lightning in Bac Ninh

Two farmers in the northern province of Bac Ninh were struck by lightning and died on June 28.

Bac Ninh (VNA) – Two farmers in the northern province of Bac Ni൩nh were struck by lightning and died on June 28.

One of the victims was Nguyen Van Vinh born in 1966, who got hit while pulling his cart on a field in Dong Du village.
The other was 20-year-old Mai Trong Tuyen. Lightning struck him when he was pumping water on a field; he died on the way to hospital. Dangerous lightning in the rainy season has also claimed the lives of a number of victims nationwide.
Earlier on June 9, fatal lightning killed two and injured four people who were travelling by road in Minh Thanh ward, Quang Yen town in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh. On June 8, one person was killed and three others in a family were seriously injured when lightning struck their house in Cu K’Nia commune, Cu Jut district, in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong. Lightning during a downpour claimed the life of a 19-year-old man in Muong Khuong district, in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai on June 7.-VNA
