Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam’s U23 team will compete in theinternational friendly football tournament the M-150 Cup 2017 in Thailand fromDecember 9-15.
The event will feature six U23teams from Myanmar, Uzbekistan, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK), Thailand, Japan and Vietnam.
Vietnam is in Group B alongsideThailand and Myanmar, while Group A consists of Japan, DPRK and Uzbekistan.They will compete in a round robin format. The top two teams will advance tothe final.
The winner will walk away with 20,000USD.
Vietnam will meet the hostsThailand on December 9 at I-Mobile stadium in Buriram in their opening game.-VNA
Vietnam beat Australia 2-0 in the semi-final match of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U15 Championship at the Chonburi Stadium in Thailand on July 20.
It is the first time that the country is to hold a G1-level tournament which is expected to lure more than 100 athletes of 15 countries and regions at Go Vap Gymnasium.
