Vasco calls off flights to Con Dao due to storm Pabuk
The Vietnam Air Services Company (Vasco) has adjusted flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho city, and Con Dao island in the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau due to storm Pabuk, the first entering the East Sea in 2019.
Hanoi (VNA) – The VietnamAir Services Company (Vasco) has adjusted flights between Ho Chi Minh City andCan Tho city, and Con Dao island in the southern coastal province of BaRia-Vung Tau due to storm Pabuk, the first entering the East Sea in 2019.
According, the company did not launch flight 0V8070 from Can Tho to Con Dao,along with nine flights between HCM City and the island (0V8057/8056,8059/8058, 8067/8066, 8073/8072 and 8054) on January 2.
Passengers who booked the flights will be moved to additional flights on theday after.
As of 7:00am on January 2, storm Pabuk was about 460km southeast of thesouthern region and 360km southeast of Con Dao island, with wind speed reaching75km per hour. It is moving west-southwest.
With the effects of the storm andextreme cold spells, strong winds are forecast to hit the western area of theEast Sea, as well as seas of provinces from Quang Ngai to Binh Thuan and fromBa Ria – Vung Tau to Ca Mau.-VNA
