VBS urged to make more contributions to national development
The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) should encourage Buddhist monks, nuns and followers nationwide nationwide to actively join movements, humanitarian and charitable activities initiated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee, contributing to the nation’s development, a front official has said.

VFF Vice President and General Secretary Tran Thanh Man made the suggestion onJanuary 19 when receiving Vice Standing Chairmanof the VBS's ExecutiveCouncil, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu during his visit to wish the VFFa happy Tet (Lunar New Year).
At the reception, Man wished the VBS and Buddhist followers a happy new year, expressing his hope that the VBS, togetherwith the VFF, brings a warm and happy Tet to the poor across the country.
💝 The VFF official reviewed the formation and development of the VBS overthe last 35 years, and highlighted its efforts to effectively implement emulationmovements.
Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu said he hopes the VFF will implementeffectively campaigns and movements that it launched, thus strengthening thegreat national unity.
In recent times, the VBS actively has participated in a wide range of activitiesrelating to environmental protection, poverty reduction, help for the poor andethnic groups as well as support for victims of natural disasters and floods inthe central and Central Highlands regions, he said.

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) marked the 35th anniversary of its establishment (November 7, 1981 – November 7, 2016) at a grand ceremony in Hanoi on November 7.
Throughout its 80-year history, the VNA has remained at the forefront of information dissemination. It has consistently delivered timely, accurate, and objective reports on both domestic and international events, serving the Party’s leadership, the State’s management, and the public’s demand for official news.

PM Chinh lauded the press’s historic role in the nation’s fight for independence and its ongoing process of national development, affirming that the Government always highly appreciates the close partnership and steadfast support of press agencies and journalists nationwide.
In recent decades, Vietnam’s mainstream media has become a reliable and persuasive channel for showcasing the nation’s development policies and achievements, especially in economic matters, according to a senior assistant editor at the Times of India.
A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
