Venezuela trusts Vietnam to thrive in its new era of advancement

Hanoi (VNA) - Half a century after the historic victory o♐f April 30, 1975, Vietnam has undergone a profound transformation across all spheres, marked by improved living standards, and these achievements are not only reflected in statistics, modern cities, and bustling industrial zones, but also in the joyful eyes of the Vietnamese people.
Speaking at a meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My on April 15 ahead of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification, Venezuela’s Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez expressed her admiration for the rapid and robust development of Vietnam, a country she and the Venezuelan people hold dear.
Congratulating the Party, Government, and people of Vietnam on the 50th anniversary of national reunification, Vice President Rodríguez expressed her confidence that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will continue to reach new milestones and move steadfastly into a new era of growth and renewal.
In her role as Vice President and Minister of Petroleum, Rodríguez reaffirmed her commitment to further strengthening the longstanding friendship and Comprehensive Partnership between Venezuela and Vietnam.
She pledged to help remove bottlenecks in energy cooperation and other areas of mutual interest in the near future. Venezuela, she stressed, will always welcome Vietnamese businesses and investors with open arms.
Ambassador Vu Trung My expressed appreciation for the warm sentiments and solidarity shown by the Venezuelan leadership and Vice President Rodríguez personally. He reaffirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State have always valued the legacy of friendship built by the late President Hugo Chávez and generations of Vietnamese leaders.
My said, Vietnam hopes to deepen and elevate the traditional friendship between the two countries, building on each side’s strengths and shared perspectives on global issues. This partnership will contribute to the development of both nations based on solidarity, mutual trust, and common interests.
He affirmed his full commitment to advancing the traditional friendship, Comprehensive Partnership, and cooperation between the two ruling Parties, playing an active role in the progress of each country and enhancing their presence on the global stage./.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela held a meeting in Caracas on December 11 to mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Vietnam (December 18, 1989 – 2024) and review glorious milestones in bilateral traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
