Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) will do its utmost tomaintain and nurture the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China.

Presidentof the VFF Central Committee Tran Thanh Man made the pledge at his reception inHanoi on August 25 for Yuan Guiren, visiting Vice Chairman of the InternationalAffairs Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

TheVietnamese Party, State, Government, VFF and people attach importance to thecooperation and friendship with the Chinese sides, considering it a toppriority in Vietnam’s foreign policy, Man affirmed.

Heexpressed his hope that the two sides will intensify delegation exchanges, thesharing of information and experience in fighting corruption and protecting theenvironment, and coordinate closely in implementing collaboration programmes.

YuanGuiren confirmed that the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference treasuresand is willing to cooperate and exchange experience with the VFF in the fieldsof politics and people-to-people diplomacy, thus helping deepen the twocountries’ friendship.

Chinais willing to support Vietnam to successfully organise Asia-Pacific EconomicCooperation (APEC) events in 2017, he added.-VNA
