Vice President meets Vietnamese community in Thailand
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on June 21 met the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani province, as part of her ongoing visit to Thailand to attend the Global Summit of Women 2022.

Bangkok (VNA) – VicePresident Vo Thi Anh Xuan on June 21 met the Vietnamese community in Udon Thaniprovince, as part of her ongoing visit to Thailand to attend the Global Summit of Women2022.
Talking to the community, Xuan appreciated thesolidarity and mutual support of the Vietnamese expats, their attachment tothe homeland and their valuable support to the home country during the resistancewar for national independence, as well as for the country’s building and developing cause.
The Vietnamese community hasalso made many contributions to their second homeland, Thailand, and mostrecently to the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and other charitable activities.
The Vice President expressedher hope that Vietnamese Associations across Thailand will better meet the needs of thepeople in solidarity and get-together activities, teach and learn Vietnamese,contributing to strengthening the friendship between the states andpeople of the two countries.

She also wished that therewill be more events connecting overseas Vietnamese businessmen and enterpriseswith those from the homeland to promote investment and trade as well as create more cooperation opportunities between domestic and Thai businesses.
Earlier the same day, theVice President visited Khanh An, a Vietnamese language school in the locality. Shepresented Vietnamese historical textbooks to support the teaching andlearning of 🐟the Vietnamese language in the school./.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the launching ceremonies of new air routes between Vietnam and Thailand on November 2, on the occasion of his attendance at the 35th summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and related summits in Bangkok.
An association of ethnic Vietnamese in the northeastern Thai province of Udon Thani has handed over nearly 1,500 plastic face shields to the province in an attempt to curb the spread of the COVID-19.

The country is willing to participate in collective efforts to promote cooperation and mobilise resources to advance the current priority issues of developing countries, such as trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, making the most of scientific and technological advances for development, and people-to-people exchanges, Hang said.
During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
