Hanoi (VNA) – Viet Nam News – an English-language daily ofVietnam News Agency (VNA) – will co-chair a live webinar themed “Asia:Renewable Energy Continent” on June 15 with the aim to intensify dissemination on Asia’s “green” strategy.

The challenges of climate change and energy security havepropelled Asian nations to increasingly embrace investment in renewable energy.

Advanced technology, investment incentives and readiedcapital have also helped renewable energy become one of the highest growthsectors with increasing deployment by businesses as they pursue the ‘green’strategy.

These issues and more on renewable energy development inAsia will be highlighted at the webinar, which will be co-chaired by Viet NamNews, The Statesman of India and Korea Herald. All of them are members of theAsia News Network (ANN), an alliance of 21 major media agencies in 19 Asian countries.

V🐽ietnam ramps up plastic waste recycli🌟ng, reuse, treatment efforts

In 2019, Quang Ninh became one of the first localities in Vietnam to launch a province-wide campaign against plastic waste, mobilising the participation of the political system, the business sector, and the general public. Other localities—such as Hai Phong, Da Nang, Binh Duong, and Ho Chi Minh City—have also effectively implemented waste-sorting initiatives at source, along with models for plastic-free markets and urban areas.
