Vietjet Air marks first flight on Hanoi – Taichung route

The budget carrier Vietjet Air’s first flight from Hanoi to Taichung (Taiwan) departed the Noi Bai International Airport on June 22.

Hanoi (VNA) – The budget carrier Vietjet Air’sfirst flight from Hanoi to Taichung (Taiwan)departed the Noi Bai International Airport on June 22.

The new route operates five flights per week on Monday, Wednesday,Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with each leg taking 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The flight departs from Hanoi at 1 pm, while the return onetakes off from Taichung at 5:30 pm (local time).

Vietjet Air  isrunning seven routes linking Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to Taiwan(China)’s Taipei, Kaohsiung and Taichung, the highest number among domesticairlines.

With a fleet of over 60 aircraft, including the A320 andA321, Vietjet Air operates 385 flights each day. The airline has alreadytransported over 60 million passengers on a network featuring 93 routes inVietnam and across the region to international destinations such as Thailand,Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Indonesia,Myanmar and Cambodia.

The airline plans to operate more than 120,000 flights andserve over 24.1 million passengers by the end of 2018 on a total of 39 domesticand 61 international routes.-VNA
