Vietnam, Algeria agree to boost friendly exchanges

Duringhis meeting with AVFA leaders in Algiers on November 27, AmbassadorHiep thanked the association for its active support of the twocountries’ traditional friendship, which he said is a “praiseworthy”factor towards consolidating and expanding bilateral cooperation formutual benefit.

AFVA Chairman Tayeb Cherfaoui said theassociation has been working closely with the embassy to find the bestcooperation mechanism.

Both sides discussed specific andimmediate measures to establish and foster the relationship between AFVAand the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO).

Ambassador Hiep stressed the need to maintain, reinforce and enhance theexchanges and coordination between the two sides.

He askedAFVA to aim for the expansion of economic cooperation between Vietnamand Algeria and pledged to release more detailed proposals in thisfield.-VNA
