Vietnam Art Photo Contest and Exhibition 2024 calls for submission
A contest seeking the best photographic works in 2024 was launched on February 29 by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Hanoi (VNA) 🔜- A contest seeking the bestphotographic works in 2024 was launched on February 29 by the Department ofFine Arts, Photography and Exhibition, under the Ministry of Culture, Sportsand Tourism.
Speaking at the event’s opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said the contest will encourage photographersto create high-value works in terms of content and art, serving the cultural andspiritual life of the people, contributing to promoting the beauty of the landand people of Vietnam to the world.
The biennial event is expected to create a playground forphotographers across the country, introduce the best photographic artworks toboth the national and international public and at the same time, summarise andevaluate the achievements of Vietnamese photography in the past two years, accordingto the organising board.
Eligible applicants of the "Vietnam Art Photo Contestand Exhibition 2024" include both professional and non-professionalphotographers who are Vietnamese citizens or overseas Vietnamese, aged at least18 years old.
The entries, which are required to be taken from August2022 to June 2024, will compete in two categories: realistic and conceptualphotos. Their content should reflect contemporary life, people, culture,landscape, nature, national construction and defence, or efforts in the fightagainst natural disasters and epidemics, and issues of contemporary life, thoughts, opinions, ideas about life or have othercontent towards the values of truth, goodness and beauty.
The contest is open to entries at anhnghethuatvietnam2024.vnfrom May 2 until July 15, 2024.
The organising board will present 32 awards, including threegold, six silver, eight bronze and 15 consolidation prizes for outstandingworks./.
The Foreign Service Information Authority under the Ministry of Information and Communications launched a photography and video contest 2023 on June 15 to popularise the country's achievements in socio-economic and cultural development and its human rights protection works through the work of people from all walks of life, both home and abroad.
The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on September 14 held the awarding ceremony for the sixth annual press photo contest titled “Khoanh Khac Vang” (Golden Moment), as part of the celebrations for its 78th founding anniversary (September 15, 1945 - 2023).
An award ceremony for the 9th “Heritage Journey” photography contest was held on September 22, honouring the winners of the contest and opening an exhibition of winning works.
The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.
This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
