General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen PhuTrong has expressed his wish that the CPV and the Communist Party ofBrazil (PCB) will enhance ties in the coming time, thus deepening linksbetween the two countries.
While receiving PCBPresident Jose Renato Rabelo in Hanoi on April 9, Trong highly valuedthe Party’s contributions to left-wing movements in Latin America .
He said he believes the PCB will reap greaterachievements in the struggle for the interest of working people, as wellas for the common fight of Brazilian and Latin American people forpeace, national independence, democracy and social progress.
For his part, Rabelo congratulated Vietnam on its socio-economicachievements over the past time and its growing position in the regionand the world.
He expressed his desire to furtherpromote solidarity, friendship and bilateral cooperation between the twoParties, nations and peoples.
Earlier, theBrazilian guest held talks with head of the CPV Central Committee’sCommission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan. The two sidesdiscussed ways to bolster future cooperation between the two Parties,including the exchange of delegations and sharing of information andresearch experience.
They agreed to work togetherat multilateral forums of political parties, and help each other developties with political parties in Southeast Asia and Latin America .
On the occasion, Rabelo invited a CPV delegation to attend the PCB’s 13 th National Congress scheduled for November.
During its stay, the Brazilian delegation also paid tribute toPresident Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum, and visited several economic andcultural facilities in Ninh Binh and Ho Chi Minh City . They workedwith the CPV Central Committee’s Central Economic Commission, theMinistry of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam–Brazil Friendship andCooperation Association.-VNA
