Phnom Penh (VNA) - The 2016 ASEAN Cuisine Festival kicked off at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on April 1, with about 110 booths showcasing the cultures and traditional foods oꦐf all ten ASEAN member states.

Vietnam’s booth received great attention from visitors with the distinctive tastes of the country’s traditional dishes and photos of Vietnamese people and landscapes.
During the opening night, a dance with the song “Vietnam que huong toi” (Vietnam, my homeland) in the background was performed by Vietnamese students donned in “non la” (Vietnamese conical hat).
The festival was organised by the French-based Pour un Sourire d’Enfant, a non-profit organisation that provides support to children in partnership with Cambodian ministries. The two-day event aims to raise funds for charitable activities from ticket sales.-VNA
