Vietnam, Cambodia boost military engineering cooperation

Hanoi (VNA) – Leaders of theengineer corps high commands of the Vietnam People’s Army and Royal CambodianArmy held talks in the southern province of Binh Duong on June 26.
At the meeting, the two sides acknowledgedtheir fruitful cooperation and informed each other of their respectivedevelopment in recent times.
They agreed to boost bilateral cooperationin educating personnel on the traditional friendship between the two countriesand their armies.
They said they will boost cooperation inhuman resources training and exchange of experience regarding peacekeepingmissions, alleviation of war consequences and multilateral search and rescueactivities.
The same day, Vietnam’s school for engineercorps training and Cambodia’s military engineering school established twinrelations at a ceremony.-VNA
The traditional solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia have been consistently nurtured by the two countries' leaders and peoples.
The ongoing visit to Vietnam by President of the Cambodian National Assembly Samdech Heng Samrin will help further consolidate and develop the fine relations of friendship and neighbourliness between Vietnam and Cambodia, a high-ranking official said on May 29.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
