Vietnam concerned about DPRK’s missile launch

Vietnam is very concerned about the launch of ballistic missiles by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on March 6, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Hai Binh said on March 10.

Hanoi, (VNA) – Vietnam is very concerned about the launch ofballistic missiles by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on March6, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Hai Binh said on March 10.

Speaking in reply to reporters’ question about Vietnam’s reaction to theincident, the spokesperson said the missile launch of the DPRK violated relatedresolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

“Vietnam pursues a consistent viewpoint of supporting all efforts topromote dialogue and maintain peace, stability and denuclearization in theKorean Peninsula,” Binh said.

He stressed that the maintenance of peace, stability and prosperousdevelopment in the region is the common interest and responsibility of allcountries.

“Vietnam calls on countries to act in a constructive manner, thus makingpractical contribution to preserving peace, security and stability in theregion and the world as a whole, and to strictly adhere to relevant resolutionsof the UN Security Council,” the spokesperson said.-VNA
