Vietnam drawn in tough Asian U19 tournament group

Vietnam’s Under-19 football team has been drawn in Group B at the Asian U19 Football Championship 2016, which will take place in Bahrain from October 13-30.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s Under-19 football team has been drawn in Group B at the Asian U19 Football Championship 2016, which will take place in Bahrain from October 13-30.

According to the draw results released by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the group also features the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Iraq who are formidable opponents for Vietnam.

Vietnam will play the DPRK on October 14, UAE on October 17 and Iraq on October 20.

The top two will quality for the next round.

🉐 The national team will have a 10-day training session in Hanoi before shortlisting the team for the U21 tournament in Malaysia.-VNA
