More than 200 photos and 100 documentaries featuring Vietnam are to be shown at an exhibition in Moscow, Russia.
The exhibition, Vietnam-World Destination 2015, displays the natural beauty of Vietnam, traditional festivals and Vietnamese cuisine among other features. Parts of the exhibition also focus on the ties between Russia and Vietnam.
Visitors will learn about how Vietnam is modernising and prospering while retaining its traditional identity.
The event celebrates the 70th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day holiday and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The exhibition will run from September 1-6 at the Multifunctional Complex Hanoi, 146 Yaroslavskoe Boulevard, Moscow.-VNA
A Vietnam Film Week opened on August 2 in the Paraguayan capital city of Asuncion on the occasion of 20th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations (May 30, 1995).
The Vietnam Film Week was inaugurated in the US city of Honolulu on July 5 as part of activities to celebrate 20 years of the normalisation of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the US.

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
Vietnam continues to sit just behind continental powerhouses Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, China, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
