New Delhi (VNA) - Minister of Information andCommunications Truong Minh Tuan and Indian Minister of Information andBroadcasting Venkaiah Naidu agreed on the need to intensify the two countries’cooperation in press and broadcasting at their meeting at the Indian ministry’sheadquarters on March 27.
Minister Tuan said that the two countries hold muchpotential in cooperation in this field as India is strong in the press-publishing-broadcastingsector.
He proposed several cooperative measures, including theshare of experience in press, publishing and broadcasting management, supportin applying information technology in this sphere and the exchange of externalinformation products such as broadcast media programmes and images tostrengthen mutual understanding between the two peoples.
Meanwhile, Minister Naidu showed his hope that India andVietnam will intensify delegation exchanges, boost collaboration between their pressagencies and encourage film-making in each country.
Both of them agreed to promote journalist training, holdmore seminars in this field, and screen each other’s famous films.
On the same day, Minister Tuan visited the VietnameseEmbassy in India, where a photo exhibition and film show themed “DiscoverVietnam 2017” is taking place.
With 180 photos and 79 films, the event aims tointroduce the image of the land of Vietnam to Indian people in order to enhancethe bilateral time-honoured friendship and multi-faceted cooperation.
